Really weird problem. When you hit CTRL+ALT+DEL when the computer locks
itself from screensaver at random times the server restarts itself, it does
this once every 2-5 days. The server shows that it is shutting down as if you
used the shutdown command but never finishes, you have to power it. No real
errors in the event viewer all you see is SOME not all services shut
themselves down but then it says the shutdown was unexpected. Is there some
other keystroke that I am not aware of that just instantly shuts a server
down? I dont know where else to look because there is nothing in the event
    viewer.

    Addition Info
Windows server 2003 with all latest updates
    HP Proliant ML350 G4
    APEX KVM
    Brand new keyboard :)

If you shutdown the server by actually using the shutdown command it
restarts perfectly every time, so the shutdown is otherwise normal.

Thanks in advanced for any info provided.

Do you use APC UPS? If so check the version of the software that you are
using. If it is Ver. 6.x then it has expired. Disable the service and
reboot. Uninstall it. Download and install Ver. 7.

Hello, thanks for the reply. The server is plugged into an APC UPS but there
is not management software installed at all. Any other ideas?
