I have a remote site that is using SBS 2003 and i am getting the reports just
fine. My question is this- Is there a way to have Windows 2003 Standard
generate and email these reports? I like the content and information about
the SBS server and would like to see that information about my Standard
edition servers. Does anyone know of a way or product to do this?

  2. Hello John

Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.

I understand that you want to know whether Windows 2003 Server Standard can
send email to notify you of the server usage and performance reports like
with SBS 2K3 server. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me

Monitoring and Reporting is SBS 2K3's own component, Server Performance and
Usage Report is their function module. So Windows 2003 Server does not have
this component, you need to install some of the tools to achieve the

    1. Service Performance Advisor.

Service Performance Advisor is a server performance diagnostic tool
developed to diagnose root causes of performance problems in a Microsoft?
Windows Server? 2003 operating system, particularly performance problems
for Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 and the Active Directory?
directory service. Server Performance Advisor measures the performance and
use of resources by your computer to report on the parts that are stressed
    under workload.
