Simple file sharing

Discussion in 'Server Setup' started by Dusan Kuzmanovic, Aug 26, 2003.

  1. My Domain Users can't uncheck Simple File Sahring option (Tools->Folder
Options->View). How can I fix this? I couldn't find any 'Domain Power Users'
and still can't allow all of them to be Domain Admins...
    Thank you.

  2. Unfortunately, that is not what happens on WinXP clients in my network. It
    remeins enabled.
That is exactly what I wanted to avoid.
The user is allowed to uncheck it, but after pressing (Apply and) OK, it
remains checked. Like he didn't uncheck it at all.
It would be easier if there would be some error message. There is none.
    Strange.

  3. That's it! Thank you. I guess it was too simple to cross my mind.
    Works on 2k Professional, too.
