simulate network printers running in VMs networked to the host only?

When you virtualize an operating system using Virtual Server or VMWare or
what not, how do you practice setting up "network printers"? I mean, for
virtual OSes running on a system NOT connected to the network.

For instance, I have a small domain running virtualized on my laptop. I can
run maybe three or four VMs at once, connected only to each other inside my
laptop. Now when I am at the beach I am not connected to the network, so
it's kind of hard to simulate network printers that way. How do you guys
simulate network printers running in VMs networked to the host only?

Yes, you can map printers that are served from the local host. Easy to do,
just run through the typical Printer installation but install a Local Port on
LPT1, then give it the IP and sharename of the printer on the host and VOILA!

I do this bouncing between home and the office, and the printers to both are
    housed in my Virtual.

If you are trying something more complex with Network Printing, feel free to
tag me here or on the forums at
