I am getting the following error:
smtpsvc eventid=2013, SMTP could not connect to any DNS
server. Either none are configured, or all are down.

I have verified that one of my isp's dns address is
correctly loaded. I was having problems with the second
address and decided to remove it for the time being.

Can anyone offer any insight as to what may be the root
cause of this error? Your help is appreciated.

Firstly, a simple task to diagnose if it is DNS related, can your SBS box
perform name resolution? Are you able to browse the web? (as your browser
will look to an external DNS to resolve the name to IP)

Have you configured FORWARDERS in your DNS server? (If your internal DNS
cant resolve, it will then use whatever DNS server specified in your
    forwarders to resolve).

In exchange, have you configured external DNS servers (by adding their IP
    addresses?)

START > PROGRAM > MICROSOFT EXCHANGE > SYSTEM MANAGER

    SERVERS > {YOUR SERVER} > PROTOCOLS > DEFAULT SMTP VIRTUAL SERVER

    Right Click and choose properties

Go to the DELIVERY TAB > Select ADVANCED

Click on CONFIGURE - Add your external DNS IP addresses here!
