    Fom Microsoft
    If you purchased Software Assurance for your Small
    Business Server 2000 CALs, then you will receive free
    upgrades to Windows Small Business Server 2003 CALs. If
    you did not purchase Software Assurance, you must purchase
    new CALs when you upgrade to Windows Small Business Server

    My question
    How could I find out if my client purchased Assurance.
    They would like to upgrade to SBS 2003

  2. They must have the SA agreement somewhere or even the invoice for the SBS2k.
    After you get the agreement number you can login on eOpen and check out if
    they have SA or not.
