    Hi,
I've setup a WSUS server on a W2K3 machine. I've used active directory to
point 130 machines to it but only 50 appear on the WSUS server. I'd be
    grateful
for any assistance in finding out why the other 80 machines don't appear.

I'd also be grateful if someone would tell me how to redirect the output of
clientdiag.exe. The /t option doesn't seem to work. Is this part of the
    problem?
I've included some info from a XP SP2 computer that doesn't appear on the
    WSUS list.

    Thanks
    David

    Hi David,
I'm new to WSUS too and as such, not overly experienced.

Is your WSUS server operating on port 80 or port 8350 ?
    I.E.
    WUServer REG_SZ
http://149.171.2.182/ or should it be http://149.171.2.182:8350/

I also set the detection frequency to a shorter period until I was satisfied
every node was functioning correctly, then returned it to the default 22
    hours.

    My keys for comparison:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]
    "WUServer"="http://server:8530"

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU]
