    Hi

We are getting the below error in sonar on our DFS server when trying to
    expand the returned rows:

    ---------------------------
    S O N A R - Run Server Expansion Command
    ---------------------------
ERROR: The registry value HKLM\Software\Microsoft\FRSMon\Sonar\Expand is
    missing.
Please add a value if you would like to run a server expansion command:
    <sonar_expand> server.fomain.local "DFSRoot|Data" FRSState
    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------

What type and data should the registry key hold?

    Thanks
    B

  2. Found this in the Sonar help:

When you double-click a row, Sonar can call out to a program defined in the
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\FRSMon\SONAR\Expand registry value
(REG_SZ), and will execute "program name" with the parameters "<local
    computer name> <domain name> <replica root> <column name>". The user can
thus define what program actually is executed; for example, it could be
Health_chk, or a Connstat report, and this can even be column-sensitive.

From what I understand, you have to do this association yourself, depending
on which program you want to execute.

Instead of using Sonar, have you considered using Ultrasound? It's available
at www.microsoft.com/frs. We recommend this for long-term monitoring of FRS.
