    Hello,

I have copied songs from cds to my computer... Tried
64kb/s and top quality in WMA format... A few times
during the songs the sound skips like a broken cd...

Tried lower accelaration rates, various cds, activated
error correction, etc... nothing works and it is not
    always at the same time...

Please help. It seems to be related to either codecs or
my sound card but how can I be sure. What should I do?

    Thanks for your help.

Is it only during certain sections, is it only a problem with certain CDs,
does analog record more cleanly, do you have this problem with songs you get
    *not* from CD... ?

Thanks for your reply. It seems to be more at the
beginning of songs (1st 45 secs) but it happened also at
other moments randomly... I will try again with analog
and advise, and try getting songs not from cd to test..

I have tested again with Analog; the sound is really bad
and I got still one glitch... I like it better in
digital. I really start to think that the problem is my
sound card... The glitches occur randomly and for
various cds. I have tested using "dxdiag" and all tests
come back successful except one comment with the sound
feature: memory buffer cannot be hardware-base but only
    software...

Don't know if this is related to my problem.
