I dont have the xp cd, I got my computer from ibuy power and they never gave
me the cd so I have to find another way to get rid of sp3 beta..It hangs on
shutdown, many programs wont update ie: quicktime and more, and some programs
wont uninstall. How do I get rid of the beta version?

I have tried that several times in safe mode and normal. It wont uninstall.
It says cant locate sp3 file and cant uninstall. I have used sp3 for several
months so I cant do a system restore due to the time.

Open Run menu and type in:-
    %systemroot%\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe

Enable to show hidden files and folders to see the
    $NtServicePackUninstall$ folder.

I did that already. I posted the same question on xp general a few weeks
agao and got similar answers. I just did what you suggested again and got
the error message ...cannot find the specified file.....I can see the
$ntuninstall folders so what do I do now that I can see them?
