    Hi JW,

Start IE7 in no Addons mode
    Start>(All) Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Internet Explorer (no Addons)
If problem disappears, restart IE7 normally and use the Addons manager to
selectively disable Addon toolbars and Browser Helper until the problem
disappears again. Uninstall the offending Addon.

Reset IE7 (Disables all Addons and resets search settings to the default
    factory settings)
    Start>Settings>Control Panel>Internet Options - Advanced tab, Reset...
    button

    Regards.

    Hi Rob,
Thanks for the reply, tried that, actually, I tried trying that. The
explorer would restart so fast, I did'nt have time to anything, in anything.
Losing the desktop eveytime it restarted every 5 seconds, then it seemed to
speed up! I don't know what hit me, but I'm glad I had Norton, it picked it
right up, but screwed my I.E. LOL!

The fix for this was pretty simplistic and never thought about it at first.

The fix was to shut down, reboot with the F8 key to take the machine (SONY
VAIO) to safe mode or prompt. Once there, I was able to complete a RESTORE
one day back . That worked great! Safe mode allowed the restoration to
accomplish the task, as I could not do that from the desktop and it never
would complete. Then, I had a Norton problem, but that's been resolved also.
This is back to normal and runnning like a champ! :)

    Thanks for the idea!
