    I have downloaded security patches and they keep reappearing as still needed. One in particular I downloaded 3 times as I did not realize it had already been downloaded. I thought once a patch was successful it would not download again.

    My operating system is Windows 98. I have installed Q329115 three times successfully and it still keeps appearing in my Windows Security Updates. An April 2, 2001 security update was installed twice successfully. I would not have the courage to interfere with my registry so what else could I do to keep the Q320115 from appearing?

  4. Jennifer;
    Do you mean 329115? You also said 320115.

    Manually download 329115 from here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows98/downloads/contents/WUCritical/q329115/default.asp
    Reboot
    Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
    Look for "Windows XP HotFix...329115"
    Click it and follow prompts to uninstall.
    Reboot.
    Disable all unnecessary applications including antivirus, spyware
    blockers etc.
    Install 329115 by double-clicking where you downloaded it to.
    Follow prompts to install.
    Reboot.
