Suggestion: Allow future program switch without recording

Discussion in 'Windows Media Center' started by ChrisClifford, Jan 13, 2008.

  1. One major omission from Media Center - it's not possible to select a future
program and have Media Center switch channels when that program starts
without it being recorded (which wastes diskspace). I'd like to plan my
evening's viewing and have Media Center change channels at the appropriate
time, with the usual reminders just before it does so.

It would be good if a setting was included to allow this as the default, so
selecting a program within the guide would merely mark it for viewing. To
record the program, it would need to be highlighted within the guide and the
record button pressed on the remote (or choose the info button/right-click
    then 'record').

    Regards,

    Chris
