I wish to automatically install all critical/security updates, unfortunately
I do not have the time to manually check all updates and their superceeding
updates etc, is it possible to have WSUS just remove old updates and install
the new ones without going in and declining all old ones.

    Thanks
    John

    Hi John,

We wrote a very basic tool to take care of this. We called it 'wsuster' and
released it on our brand new website. Download link
    http://www.wsus.nl/downloads/wsuster.zip

The tool was written in VB.NET and uses the Update Services API described by
Microsoft. The tool must be run on the WSUS server. Comments can be sent to

    Roland.

  3. WSUS will handle all supercession considerations automatically...

EXCEPT those affecting Cumulative Updates for IE and OE.

It is recommended that you mark "Not Approved" or "Declined" for all
Cumulative Updates prior to the current release.
