svchost.exe under NETWORK SERVICE hogs CPU

    After the installation of Windows 2003 SP1, I see that the svchost.exe
    running under the NETWORK service account hogs a lot of CPU, leading to
    slowing of other processes.

    Any idea as to the reason for this.

    NOTE: I dont have any applications connecting to the Internet from this

    I also tried stopping the DNS Client service, but this also did not help.

    Any help would be appreciated.
