First, I installed the Vcast drivers and read the instructions. I downloaded,
and uploaded files with glee. Windows media player 10 functioned perfectly
groovy. I noticed windows media player 11 with it's sleek new look, and I
couldn't download it fast enough <2 mins was too long>. Then all of a sudden
the phone won't talk to my computer anymore. It is frustrating, and I would
really like to put some new music on my phone.
I connect the phone to computer using the USB cord supplied by the music
essentials package. My computer alerts me that the device is there. Following
what the manual says, I set the phone up to sync, and it won't link with my
computer. Then a little box pops up telling me that a problem occurred during
hardware installation. The phone continues to ignore my computer. I have
poured through various read-me's, and gone through every wizard I can find.
This is my last effort before I go find a relationship counselor for my
    electronics.

  2. i have heard vcast mtp does not work with wmp 11, only wmp 10. Rumor has it
they are working on a new version which will support wmp 11. Unfortunately,
once you install wmp 11, its very difficult to undo the install and go back
to wmp 10. There are other posts here that address this issue...

WMP has redundant uninstall/rollback methods - if both the Add/Remove
Programs uninstall and the System Restore restore point WMP created failed,
something is actually wrong with the system in question, as opposed to just
having some specific WMP failure. =\

That's no excuse for a failure of course - there never is - ... but there
was a concerted effort to make sure it was easy to switch back as needed.
After all, us developers had to install ........ several thousand times. =)
