Syncing from a DVD to a portable device

    I own a windows media center based portable device that i would like to put
    some DVD movies on. The manual said videos could be synced through Media
    Player, but I am unable to figure out how. I am able to get the dvd files to
    show up, but it won't let me drag them to the sync payne. I am running WMP
