System when playing windows media on a web site

    hi gurus,
    i have a window 2000 prof machine.
    when i go to website that has windown media file, after
    downloading it will be buffered then when it starts to
    play the system get stuck !!!
    any idea , how to solve this issure

    Does it work if you save the file on your hard disk, then play it ? I
    used to do that a lot on dialup.

    If that happens it might be a problem that the video rate is *much*
    higher* than your internet connection. What version of media player do
    you use ?
