I like having all my open documents appear on the Taskbar. The IE Tabs make
it harder for me to get to web pages I know I've got open. Is there a way to
remove the Tabbed Interface and have all opened documents appear on the

And while we're at it, is there a way to remove the Command Bar, and to put
the Menu Bar above the Address Bar like in IE 6?

Cameron Guest for raising the menu bar above the
address bar. Go to the Internet Options>tabs for disabling tabs. and remove
the command buttons manually by right-clicking on some taskbar
space>customise command bar>add or remove commands.

But the favourite buttons still remain and the rest of that 'line' is empty.

shift+left click to open a link in a new window

I personally do prefer IE7 over IE6 and haven't followed any of my
suggestions but I don't like the fact that Microsoft still leaves the command
bar and favourites star behind after you remove tabbed browsing. Not much of
a choice if you ask me.

    Greetings Trevor:

I'm not sure how long you've been using a computer: IE 6 had many new
features that IE 5 lacked, and IE 5 looked quite different than IE 4. If
you eventually got used to those two browsers, what's stopping you from
    getting used to IE 7?
