I'm getting this message constantly. About 1 in every 20 messages goes
through if I'm really lucky. Other people on my list are seeing this. The
service status says everything is fine, so what's going on?

  2. Greetings James,

Have you or your contacts been using handwriting recently? If so, you'll need to completely
close and restart Messenger in order to send messages again.

Nope.. No handwriting usage. I've also tried restarting, rebooting, etc.. No
luck. I was under the impression that this was a more widespread issue since
lots of people on my list have been seeing it. I haven't been logged in since
Friday (due to a lengthy power cut), so I'll try again today and see if it's
    still happening.

  4. Jonathon, I have begun to notice this, and wondered if you had a fix?

MSN will not. I obviously prefer the MSN messenger over wthe windows one,
    doesn't everyone? ;)

    Hi James
I would dearly like to know if you find anything out re: a fix on this
    problem.
I have been having it about 4 days, along with my wifes computer.
    Sometimes it works, ofter not.
    Thank you
    Russ :-(

I'm geting this too - and it's driving me nuts. For me it drops at random
intervals - and then just picks up again a few minutes later.
Sometimes I close the window - sometimes I just keep trying.
There seems to be a bit of correlation with whether I'm downloading files at
the time. But it happens when there are no files being downloaded as well.

  12. Greetings,

Are they actually set to offline (aka invisible) when you're speaking to them? are you set
to Appear Offline? If so, then the server which carries offline messages can be extremely
    unreliable.

There may also be some connection problems occurring, especially if you're using a proxy or
something similar -- usually signing off and back on may assist in solving that.

Also, this can happen if you've been using the handwriting/drawing feature in which case
you're need to completely close Messenger and restart it.
