This is just a lab exercise and one that I do not plan to suggest to
    clients:

As part of my action pack subscription I have unused the full Essential
business Standard 2008 suite. Has anyone here used TMG from this setup to
protect the SBS2008 installation? I also have the ISA2006 Standard license
but have not tried it out on SBS2008.

  2. It won't work *and* is illegal. SBS and EBS each have licensing
requirements involving domain controller roes that prevent them from being
on the same domain. The TMG-SBE server cannot be installed outside of an
EBS domain. Thus you will eventually run into problems with one of the
    servers shutting down regularly eventually.

ISA2006 is perfectly capable of protecting an SBS domain, however (do not
install it on the SBS server though!) TMG2010 will also work quite nicely.

Many thanks. Much like I though.
