I have a user at an SBS site who makes a lot of long distance international
calls. One of his correspondents is recommending he installs Skype. Good
    idea? Bad idea?

Typically, if anyone mentions p2p (kazaa & the like)software in this NG
everybody starts foaming at the mouth. Is skype OK in an SBS environment?

  5. Skype I have no problem with, its a completely legal way of communicating. I
think that another, more full featured VOIP solutions is better. Perhaps
Vonage or packet8. I personally prefer teamspeak for simple voice
communications since it allows groups of people to collaborate. perhaps up
to 32 users per channel, and with huge flexibility in codecs used you can
great modify the quality of the voice transmission.

But Skype seems to be building a small network of users and I couldn't
really see a problem with using it. this type of program are a fantastic way
    of saving money.

  6. It's still peer to peer.
It's still brought to you by the same folks that did Kazaa.
