Anyone have any new info on the Toshiba MCE 2004 upgrade? Last I heard it
would be out around the begining of November.

Just spoke with Toshiba yesterday and they said they
will "begin taking orders" at the end of november. Begin
taking orders>? probably means it will actually ship 4-6
weeks after that I guess. Rather pathetic if you ask me
since they have been saying "in a month" for 2 months
now. Isnt it strange that they are able to get out their
new products with MCS 2004 on them before they fully
support their contractual obligations to their previous
customers. Microsoft only makes MCE available to
hardware manufactureres. This means Toshiba has an
oblication to provide us with the software update. Many
other maufacturers have had the upgrade available for
over a month (ie HP for $30). I imagine Toshiba will
actually have the nerve to charge for the upgrade as well
when they finally get themselves around to it.

...HP charges just the cost of postage, which can be considerably less
    than $30.00.

Thanks for the update. I had a feeling that I wouldn't be seeing it anytime
    soon.
