two Outlook profiles, two Outlook instances, two accounts?

Discussion in 'Windows Small Business Server' started by David Thielen, Jul 25, 2006.

  1. Hi;

    Can I create 2 outlook profiles, each for a different email account,
    and then open two instances of outlook, one for each account, and it
    will handle each as though that was all I had?

    In other words, it will not mix sent mail in the others sent folder
    and there are no other problems like that.

    thanks - dave

  2. You can have multiple profiles to maintain independent settings, but you
    cannot run more than one instance of Outlook at any given time.

    You are limited to one active instance of Outlook per logged on user.
    Perhaps the easiest method to work with two or more seperate email accounts
    is to open subsequent mailboxes with Outlook Web Access.
