Two sets of All Music/All TV/All Video/My Playlists/Auto Playlists/Now Playing?!?

  1. Just upgraded to WMP10 and for some reason I have two sets of the categories
in the Library section, in other words the left column looks like this:

    All Music
    All TV
    All Video
    Other Media
    My Playlists
    Auto Playlists
    Now Playing
    All Music
    All TV
    All Video
    Other Media
    My Playlists
    Auto Playlists
    Now Playing

The strange thing is, when I go to the Now Playing section and back to the
Library section, the duplicate categories disappear.

    How can I solve this?

  2. I don't know. Switch away and back seems to be the only solution so far
for those who experience this problem. Someone reported that it goes
away after a few reboots,w hich is true of some other WMP issues.

  3. Well I'm glad to hear it's not intentional and I am not the only one with
the problem. Hopefully it might disapear then.
    Thanks for the help.

Another question while your answering, does WMP 10 no longer remember last
Library view like WMP 9 did (e.g. which Album Artist and album you were
looking at last, so it opens with that catergory open)?

    Thanks again

  4. No, there's a few things like that which were lost in the move to v10.
See http://msmvps.com/thinice/articles/16084.aspx for a partial list.

  5. Why loose such a feature though?
This reminds me of the removal of custom key bindings in
    IntelliPoint...uterly pointless.
Hopefuly the WMP team will reinstate this feature, much like the
    IntelliPoint team had to.
