Using migration wizard on SBS 2000 I exported selected dates of user Exchange
accounts in SBS 2000 to .pst files. Copied those files to the new SBS 2003
server in a special directory. Now I'm trying to import them into the users
Outlook 2003. I'm asked for a password to access the .pst file. I've tried
the users pw, administrator pw, and the user's e-mail password. None work.
What could be the possible problem?

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting here.

According to you description, I understand you encountered password prompt
    during open PST file.

Does this issue occur when you open all PST file that you exported?

Based on my experience, user can create a personal password for access PST
file. it is not logon exchange password. So if we copy a pst file with a
password to another computer, we may need to input the password several
times in order to open or import the pst file.

If the original password does still not work for the pst file on the new
client, we may try the following steps as a workaround.

    1. Open the pst file on the original client.
    2. Export the personal folders to a new pst file without any password.
    3. Copy the new pst file to the other client and import the pst file to the
    Outlook profile.

Hope this helps, if you have any other concerns on this issue, please feel
    free to let me know.

    Have a nice day!

    Best Regards,

    Chace Zhang (MSFT)
