Unknown location of object account in Active Directory

Discussion in 'Active Directory' started by Dave Leonardi, Jun 7, 2005.

  1. Good Morning,

I had a question regarding the following: I am trying to remove an entry
that is related to event ID 9548, unfortunately I cannot find the particular
object in question. It is an old user object that was attached to an old
Domain. The below setting is referencing an Old Domain that was migrated to
our newer one and the object NAISWEDESBOROWHSRV1 which no longer exists,
neither does the SSD Organization. I was wondering if I could use ADSI Edit
and if so how would I go about it?
The issue at hand is that multiple instances are being generated in the
event log on my exchange 2000 box. (literally every second to minute).

    Event Type: Warning
    Event Source: MSExchangeIS
    Event Category: General
    Event ID: 9548
    Date: 6/7/2005
    Time: 11:36:39 AM
    User: N/A
    Computer: HERMES
    Description:
    Disabled user /O=SSD/OU=SWEDESBORO/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=NAISWEDESBOROWHSRV1 does
not have a master account SID. Please use Active Directory MMC to set an
active account as this user's master account.
