How do you reset a user's account password on a new
system? Apparently there was already a user password on,
presumably, a new system and I cannot chnage it or log
    back on to my system.

    Thanks,

  2. You need to be an administrator on the machine. Then, you can reset the
    user's password or change it.

If you are not an administrator -- by definition, you are out of luck. If a
non-administrator could easily change another user's password without any
credentials, that's pretty bad for security.
