I get a notice that my updats need to be installed. I
have done that, twice, and still get the notice. The
review shows they have failed. What next?

    Hi Audrey,

The Windows Update.log file should gives us more information why the updates
are failing to install. If you can please post the last 20 lines of the
Windows Update.log file we can narrow down the cause.

To view the Windows Update.log file:

Copy and paste "%windir%\windows update.log" (w/o the quotes)
into the Internet Explorer address bar and hit Enter.
Scroll down to the current date and look for the error being reported.

Please post the last 20 lines form the log or the error message reported.
