upgrade from vista home basic to business

    Hello,

    I got a pre installed version of Vista home Basic. Now i just purchased an
    upgrade disc to Business. I cannot do the upgrade, the computer tells me that
    i need to get e newer version. what do i need to do. hope someone can help me
    out

  2. Does the Windows Vista Business DVD disc state that it includes Service Pack
    1?

    Hello Afrasian

    You may prefer to change that upgrade dvd for one that does includ
    SP1

    If that is not possible, you could do a slipstream , as Carey suggests

    Unless you can get hold of the previous version version of vlit
    (1.1.6), the new version (1.2) requires the gigantic WAIK download fro
    M$

    It needs this for a tiny file, wimgapi.dll. Both versions requir
    wimfltr, just click install wimfltr on the program interface and tha
    bit is almost instant

    Alternatively, you could uninstall SP1, do the upgrade then reinstal
    SP
