What specific functionality is lost when doing an in-place upgrade on
SBS2003. I am aware of fax capability and email enabled libraries not
working, both of which I could live with. What else should I expect?

If I do a parallel install, how Do I upgrade a specific site to WSS 3.0? Is
it just a matter of attaching the config database and the content database?
Wehre can I find step by step instructions?

  3. Hello Customer,

    Thank you for posting here.

From your post, I understand that you would like to upgrade WSS 2.0 to WSS
3.0 on SBS 2003. If I have misunderstood your concern, please feel free to
    correct me.

Please understand that although.Net Framework 3.0 and WSS 3.0 are released,
we have to http://companyweb Web site as a Windows SharePoint Services 2.0
installation. Upgrading the site to Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 is not
    supported.

When you install Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 on the SBS server, do not
choose Gradual upgrade or In-place upgrade. If you do, several Windows SBS
administration tools will fail, and you might lose data on your Windows
SharePoint Services sites. You must choose No, do not upgrade at this time,
which results in a side-by-side installation.

Please refer to the following Microsoft white paper to perform a
    side-by-side installation:
