USB host and USB device

    can any buddy tell me

    USB host and USb Device stack run on same peace of hardware and for
    that we have different different harware ?

    like for host we have Host control Interface
    what for device ?
    please tell me

    Most PCs are supplied with USB host hardware and most OS's have a USB host
    stack. For a USB device, you need different hardware than USB host
    hardware.

    No PC's I am familiar with come with USB device hardware (except of course
    some CE, etc.).

    There are some add in boards, I forget from who, that do something like
    PCI-to-USB-device. You would need a custom driver to handle this. But in
    general, why would you want to make a PC a USB device? There are generally
    better ways to connect to another host, like ethernet, etc.
