Hi all. I have a user who is now overseas carrying office notebook. She could
not login as she forgot her domain account password. Since her notebook is
not physically in my office network, is there anyway that we can try to get
her login to her domain account? Or the way only to access the notebk is by
logging in using the local account? Thks in advance.

  2. Hello inenewbl,

Without connection to the domain, no way to reset the domain user password.
Maybe you can use a VPN connection to your domain if you have RRAS running
on a member server. Otherwise she has to remember or use a local account
    if one exist.

    Best regards

  3. I assume you mean to log on locally on the box so she can log on to it
and use it (without connecting to the network)? If so - no. There's no
way to remotely set it back to some password. She'd have to connect to
the corp net once you changed the password.

The only thing right now is using a local user account on the notebook.

    cheers,

    Florian

  4. If she doesn't have access to your domain, there is nothing you can do.
