    Hi,

Why it doesn't work anymore to type http://USERNAME:
? How can I disable this new "feature"? Or is it a bug?

    Thanks in advance.

    IE v7.0.6000.16473
    Windows Vista x64 Ultimate
(all the updates available are installed)

    Hi,
This security change first appeared as part of a Cumulative Security Update
for Internet Explorer in February 2004. There's a registry edit to disable
    the feature in this article:
834489 - A security update is available that modifies the default behavior
of Internet Explorer for handling user information in URLs
    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=834489

I haven't tried it, but it sounds like the registry edit will work with IE7
on Vista. Backup the registry or create a restore point before you try it.

    Hope this helps,
    Don
