We have DFSR setup on two member servers that are file servers, what we are
finding out that all this data is replicating to our domain controllers
also. the domain controllers are showing up in the Distributed File
System as a root target. All we want is the replication to take place on
the two file servers not on the domain controllers. Can we remove these
root targets? Will this still enable the replication and namespace to
    work on the member servers?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Eric,

When you say that the data is replicating to the DCs as well....where is it
replicating to? Do you have the DCs configured as folder targets in any
    instances?
