Dear Microsoft MCE Staff & Newsgroup Members,

I travel regularly throughout the U.S. for Business
    Purposes.

I just purchased the Toshiba Satellite P25 Widescreen
with MCE for business and personal use.

My goal is to travel hotel to hotel and use the laptop's
MCE to record my favorite shows and rewatch them wherever
    I may travel.

In this case, I expect not to connect to a TV, but rather
primarily use the coaxial cable in my hotel room and run
it directly to the PC. By doing this I can multi-task
    applications and television.

What problems may I face travelling from hotel to hotel
regarding signal and connection issues and what
accessories would you recommend to accomplish this goal.

    Happy Holidays,

    Joe,

A couple issues off the top of my head...

    1. You will need to go through the TV Signal setup wizard every time you want to record in a new location (unless you want to only use the manual recording feature).

    2. Most (or at least many) hotels broadcast their own internal channel lineup. So there will be no way to setup and record from the guide. You would need to manually record the shows.
