We are having a strange problem with the vacation calendar. This server has
been installed with SBS 2003 for almost two years and no changes have been
made lately. In the last few days, the vacation calendar which is in the
calendar view on the front page of companyweb does not display all of the
events on the vacation calendar. If we open the vacation calendar by
clicking on the link from the front page or on the link bar, all of the
events appear (in any view). We have tried closing and readding the vacation
calendar webpart, and clearing the browser cache (but this is happening on
all PCs and the server). We are stumped!

I am sorry for the delayed response due to weekend. Please understand that
the newsgroups are staffed weekdays by Microsoft Support professionals to

    greatly appreciated!

According to your description, I understand that the Vacation Calendar view
does not display all of the Events in the Companyweb home page. If I have
misunderstood your concern, please don¡¯t hesitate to let me know.

To narrow down this issue, please answer and perform the below questions
    and steps:

    1. Before this issue occurred, can you remember what changes you had been
made to the system? Please click the Vacation Calendar status bar, select
'Modify Shared Web Part', in the List Views page, what option is selected
view? Click 'Edit the current view', in the next page, click 'Show all
items in this view' check box under 'Filter' section, then re-check other
    options.

    2. What's the common issue of the disappear events? If you try to create
some new events, then check if the issue can be reproduced.

    3. Please do a screen capture of this issue, and attach it in your reply.

    Nathan,

Thank you for your assistance. I think you understand the situation, but
just for clarification. We have the vacation calendar webpart on the front
page of companyweb (http://companyweb/default.aspx) where it has been for
almost two years. It has always worked fine and no changes have been made to
companyweb in the last few months. Now, any event added after August does not
appear on the webpart calendar view but if we click the link for vacation
calendar either in the header bar or the link bar, the calendar that opens
has all of the events. I have screenshots which show the following example,
but I don't know how to attach them to my response. I added the "testing 2"
event today on the August calendar and it shows up on the main page calendar,
but if I create an event on the September or later calendar, it does not
    appear on the main page.

When I follow your steps "'Modify Shared Web Part', in the List Views page"
I see no options; only "OK" and "CANCEL." I looked at the same setting on one
of the other SBS servers we support and had the same result. I have looked
for other ways to see the options for the default calendar view, but only see
the options you mention if I make a custom view (which I tried with the same
result). When I look at other options for the webpart, I verified that the
    detailed link is: http://companyweb/Lists/Vacation Calendar/calendar.aspx

Please tell me how to post the screenshots and I will do so.

    Dawn Lutz

  5. Hi Dawn,

    Thank you for your patience.

    1. Based on my testing, when I choose the 'Calendar' in the 'Selected
View' option, and then click 'Edit the current view', there are only 'OK'
and 'Cancel' button in the 'Vacation Calendar: Edit View' page, the result
same your condition. Therefore, let's change the 'Selected View' option to
'All Events' or 'Current Events', then check if the 'Vacation Calendar'
also only display certain September or later calendar events on the Home
    page.

    2. Let's create a new Events List to check if the issue can be
reproduced. To do so, click 'Create' in the top menu of the Companyweb home
page, click 'Events' under the 'Lists', input appropriate information in
the Name and Description box, then click Create button. Go to home page,
click the 'Vacation Calendar' top-button, select Close to close the
'Vacation Calendar' display on the home page, then click 'Modify Shared
Page', point to 'Add Web Parts' -> Browse, select 'Gallery' and select the
creating testing 'Events' under 'Web Part List', then click 'Add' button.
Create some testing event in the new creating testing 'Events' to check if
    the issue can be reproduced.

Additionally, based on my deep research, I didn't find any similar issue.
Let's try more testing to narrow down this issue. I am appreciated your
time and cooperation. If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me
know. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
