very frustrated by "windows Security" screen pop-up!!! Cannot get Windows Mail

Discussion in 'Windows Vista Mail' started by thatstrongwoman, Jul 24, 2008.

  1. I have looked at the suggestions and followed them, including uninstalling
my AVG and re-installing it in custom form with no e-mail scanner. I still
get the username and password screen that says "windows security". I have
typed in the username and password every which way and NOTHING IS ACCEPTED!
How do I disable this sign-on???
I spoke with comcast, my internet provoder and all is set up ok.
    PLEASE HELP!

  3. The account may be corrupted. Delete ('remove') that mail account,
restart Windows Mail, then recreate the account.

  4. Did you remember to restart Windows Mail before recreating the account?

If all else fails, you can always upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
