    For XP Messenger 6.0

Does anyone have a favorite recommendation on a USB 2
    videcam to purchase?

    Thanks,

  2. Greetings Jan,

A USB 2.0 webcam really isn't required for Messenger -- the USB 1.1 cameras will work well
(Messenger only allows a certain size of video anyway), recent Logitech ones in particular
    are good.

Personally, I still use a Intel PC Camera, but unfortunately Intel no longer sells them.

Intel cameras are, indeed, very good. I've owned two. One
of the best ever was the 3Com HomeConnect. But both have
    discontinued making webcams.

But look here! The 3Com webcam was purchased by
IONetworks, so essentially it's still available
    (http://www.ionetworks.com/products/watchportv.html)

I found that the low-cost Logitechs aren't very good,
    especially in low-light situations...spend a little more
for a Logitech. The IBM-branded Xircom webcams and
Kensington should be avoided, even if "free after rebate".

The below cam is probably one of the best USB cams available.
