Hi, maybe you can help me.
My problem: The videos on my computer (even small 2 minute clips) have a
long delay before they start in Windows Media Player (about 1 minute delay).
Even if I just click on a video (wmv, asf, avi) to see the little preview
picture in the details column of my folder window, it takes about 1 minute
for the preview picture to show up. Audio formats (wma, mp3) work fine and
    start right away.

I didn't have this problem until I installed new software a few weeks ago.
The software I installed was: 'Windows Live One Care', 'Office Home And
Student 2007', 'Microsoft Plus - Superpack for Windows' and
'Nero-StartSmart'. Also windows automatic update updated my Windows Media
Player from version 10 to 11.

My PC runs on Windows XP service pack 2 and is equipped with 750 MB of Ram.

Maybe you can help me to solve this problem.

    Thank you

    Felix

This should be a problem in your video card driver - have you checked for
    updates for that?
