Ok, I'm new to the whole NLB arena. I am getting ready
to convert a DNS server to AD as well, and am wanting to
set up NLB between a couple of web servers.

I have a couple of questions:

    1) Full internet name. What is the purpose of this? do
    you need one?

    2) Primary IP address, would that be the IP that all web
traffic is currently routed to by my current DNS server?

    Thanks,
    Steve

  2. 1) Not really needed, its nice to use to manage from the command prompt and
    WLBS.

    2) Yes, the primary (Cluster) address is the Internet DNS name. The
Dedicated IP is for heartbeats and management.

    Cheers,

    Rod
