    Hi All,

I had some trouble with my vista running at 100% and tried to boot up in Diagnostics mode, but every time I try it freezes on me

It boots fine in safe mode and boots a bit slow in normal mode, so I don't know what's happening in diag. mode, nor do I know where to look for the diagnostic log/info to try to track the problem down.

    Any and all help welcome.

P.S. I think the 100% was due to some malware I had and have cleaned it up

Do you mean the CPU load was at 100% in task manager? If so, click on the processes tab and sort by CPU load - then find the process causing the problem and post it here :)

Also, do you have any anti-virus and anti-spyware software installed?

    Diagnostics mode

I have Trend running in the background, but as I said, I fixed the 100% CPU problem up (it was a trojan + others).

It's the fact that I can't get Diagnostics mode to work that I'm trying to figure out. It totally freezes just after booting up and I can't find out why.
