VPC 2004 - Ctrl key seems locked when switching windowed/fullscreen mode

  1. * My host OS is Windows XP Pro, US English, running on an Acer TravelMate
    252LMi_DT with German keyboard.
    * My client OS is Windows Server 2000 US English, SP4 all patches installed.
    VPC 04 Additions are installed.

Whenever I switch from windowed mode (default) to fullscreen mode
(ALTGR+Enter), I have to press the Ctrl key once because otherwise all
typing I do is as if I keep the Ctrl key pressed, ie: I type a lowercase "s"
in Notepad, and it interprets it as Ctrl+S and the File Save dialog box pops
up. On the command prompt, I only get control characters (beeps).

Sometimes this also happens when switching back to windowed mode, funny when
you select icon after icon on the desktop... pressing the Ctrl key once ends
the lock, and everything works fine ever after.

On another note, when restarting the client in fullscreen mode, it comes
back in 640x480, not 1024 as it was before the reboot.

Try changing the "host key" from "AltGr" to right-ctrl instead (then use
right-ctrl - enter to switch to full screen mode) and see if that helps.

  3. That worked like a charm... still somehow curious why this Ctrl-LOCK happens
    on AltGr...
