After installing SP1, VPC is removed from the pc (XP pro sp2).

The wizard was interrupted befor Microsoft Virtual PC2004 Service Pack 1
    could be completely installed.
Your system has not been midified. To install this program at a later time,
    pleas run the installation again.

VPC has been completely removed :-S

    known problem????

Thats the default behavior. VPC SP1 modifes too much of the
application that it can't be unmodifed, only removed.

    default behavior?

sp1 removed VPC completely and has to be reinstalled.
    can't say that normal.

you don't expect to have to reinstall you OS after updating with XP-sp2
    either.

Some service packs can't be removed, this is one of them. Its
essentially replacing the entire app, so there's nothing left to roll
    back to.
