Now that Microsoft has released VPC 2004 for Windows, will
the disk images it creates be compatible with VPC 6.1 for
Mac? I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to open my
older VPC 5 (Windows) images on my 15" 1.25 GHz PowerBook
(OS 10.3.1). The VPC 5 images either crash within Virtual
PC or bring down the whole Mac OS! Not good.

If I had to run my disk images through VPC 2004 on Windows
before I fed them to the Mac, I'm desperate enough to
    consider doing so.

    Thanks!

nope, the hardware is the same for 2004 and 5.2, so you'll still run
    into the same problems.

The hardware in the mac version of VPC is older.

    SJ told us that:
Do you know if Microsoft has any plans to update the
    virtual hardware in VPC Mac?

    Thanks!
