VPC- Cannot load from harddisk Insert system disk and press any key

    I am a first time user of VPC. I've installed VPC on my
    Windows professional PC. When i run VPC the booting starts
    and detects CD and Virtual hard disk but after that give
    the following message "Cannot load from harddisk Insert
    system disk and press any key"
    Please help

    You have to install an operating system on the virtual machine, just
    like on a new physical PC with a blank hard drive.

    You've created a VPC, but there's no operating system installed on it. So,
    when it tries to boot that VPC, there's nothing to boot to so it asks for a
    system disk. What you need now is to load an OS on that VPC...you can load
    from a floppy, a real CD, or an ISO image of a CD somewhere on your hard
