VPC spontaneous reboot

Discussion in 'Virtual PC' started by David Carlsson, Feb 14, 2005.

  1. Hi

I user VPC on a WinXP Pro. The guest OS is Win2k.
Sometimes the virtual mashine spontaneous reboot, like someone pushine a
reset-button. I've get no error messages in this case

A couple of times the host mashine also behaves like this, but only
while the VPC is running. When the host has booted I get a message that
the system has been restored form a crash.

Any ideas to resolve these craches would be nice.

    /David

  2. Can you check the system properties to ensure that the operating systems
are not configured to automatically reboot on a halt error? Also - you
should check to see if there are any driver updates available for the
host computer, and you may want to run a memory test tool on the host.
