VPN from a guest PC *not* through VPN connected on the HOST PC

Discussion in 'Virtual PC' started by Simpson Samsonite, Oct 12, 2005.

  1. I am trying to use the HOST PC on my Corporate LAN (Connected via a Cisco or
Nortel VPN - we have both and I've tried both). Then open up the guest PC
and connect to another clients VPN (Cisco) from there.

The Guest PC's VPN connection can't go through the Host's connected VPN - is
that possible? I can connect to the client's VPN however I cannot actually
access any systems on their network.

If I open up the guest PC (host not on a VPN) and connect to the client's
VPN then it works. If I connect the host to the corporate VPN then I get
disconnected from any server on the client's network (however the VPN connect
    I can open and close).

Thoughts? Or am I stuck to running two virtual PC sessions at once?

  2. And you can't connect to the internet on the host?
Probably some firewall in action when you have opened the VPN connection
You need access to the "cyberspace"
    That's the way it is
    Yep
