    Hi,

Does the windows time service need to be running on all servers?
This service fails to start on one of eight servers running windows 2003. It
doesn't seem to effect the network as far as I can tell.
All the other servers are running this service however they are all exactly
    4 minutes fast.
I tried to synchronise with an outside time source but it just changes back
to the wrong time after about half an hour.

    Thanks for any help.

  2. Yes. You need to resolve this problem.

See tip 8497 » AuthSync.bat script makes your Windows Server 2003 PDC emulator the authoritative time server for your domain.
