    Hi, Nancy.

Where do you find the word “Sync†in Wave 4?

If you right-click almost any icon in the Ribbon, including items in the drop-down menus, you might find an option to “Add to Quick Access Toolbarâ€. Using this method, I’ve added “Update all†and “Send/receive†to my QAT.

I’ve already added nearly a dozen items (so far) to my QAT, saving a LOT of extra mouse clicks. ;<)

  3. Most of the buttons and commands you can right-click on and choose
"Add to the Quick Access Toolbar".
The ribbon itself can't be customized. I keep it minimized.

  4. Yes!

I’ve added the "_Update All†icon to the QAT.

    Thanks!

  5. It looks as if they did indeed listen to us.
Several of us mentioned that we wanted the CHOICE of either icons or just textual commands at the top – and they’ve given us that with the
“Ribbonâ€, which can be minimized to text --- plus the QAT.
    Well Done.

  6. It doesn't minimise to text... it just minimizes to nothing..

  7. Actually not...

It minimizes to text categories and takes up minimal real estate – which is just ducky.

  8. You must be seeing something different than me then. I see only the tab names like it is with the ribbon maximized... so minimizing collapses all but the tab names. Perhaps that is what you are calling the categories.. if so, then we see the same thing I guess. No problem..:)

I was happy to find that we can right-click and add to the QAT.
Unfortunately, there are multiple QATs. I want to have the Rich Text (HTML)
button added to the Mail QAT, but can't find a way to get it from the
mail/news message creation ribbon into the QAT or any ribbon tab in Mail. If
you figure out how to do that, please post.

I like to run with everything in plain text; then, if I want to see
something in HTML, I would normally just go to View on the Menu Bar and
select HTML. I can't even find the Menu Bar button (as referenced on the
online Help file, BTW) in the right upper corner to enable the Menu Bar.
Does the Menu Bar exist in Wave4 Beta? Thanks ... vanilla

  10. The Rich Text (HTML) button is used when composing, not when reading
    a received message.

If you want your default viewing of received messages to be in plain text:
Options, Mail, "Read all messages in plain text". I don't know of a shortcut
way of enabling and disabling that mode.
